Blood Panel Testing
Chemistry Panels and Hematology Panels
Routine Blood Testing for Comprehensive Analysis
Kylix Diagnostics Laboratories delivers trusted results for blood panel testing using molecular genetic laboratory technology.
Panel blood tests analyze various elements in the blood to identify general health conditions. Healthcare professionals use routine blood panels to track patient health and pinpoint changes over time. Accurate and trusted lab results matter to build patient trust and manage long-term health.
Kylix Diagnostics Laboratories processes blood work and provides results that help medical providers make informed treatment decisions. Our combination of testing capacity, state-of-the-art equipment, software integration, and speed increase effectiveness for healthcare providers.
Chemistry Panels
Kylix Diagnostics analyzes chemistry blood panels following our superior processes for accurate results and detailed reporting.
Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP)
The BMP tests eight compounds in the blood to identify various body functions and processes, including kidney function, blood sugar levels, electrolytic balance, acid and base balance, and metabolism.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
The CMP tests 14 compounds in the blood, including the eight tested for in the BMP. The CMP provides additional information regarding the liver and blood proteins.
Electrolyte Panel (ELP)
The ELP measures carbon dioxide, chloride, potassium, and sodium levels in the blood to identify problems with fluids and electrolyte balance in the body.
Hepatic Function Panel
The Hepatic Function Panel is a liver panel used to test for liver function by measuring specific enzymes, proteins, and other substances in the blood. The test helps diagnose and monitor liver disease or damage.
Lipid Panel
The lipid panel is a complete cholesterol test to track and assess the risk of cardiovascular disease. The test measures cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.
Hematology Panels
Kylix Diagnostics serves clinicians with hematology blood panel reporting with accurate and reliable results.
B-Type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP)
The BNP blood panel measures the hormone B-type natriuretic peptide in the blood. Higher levels can signify heart failure because the body produces higher hormone levels when it works harder to pump blood.
Complete Blood Count with Differentials (CBC + Diff)
The CBC with differentials blood panels tests a patient's overall health by measuring white blood cell count, red blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and mean corpuscular volume. The CBC + Diff measures the number of each of the five major types of white blood cells.
Complete Blood Count without Differentials (CBC w/o Diff)
The CBC without differentials offers the same information as the CBC + Diff except that it measures the total number of white blood cells versus breaking the measurement down by white blood cell type. The test provides valuable data for healthcare providers, including identifying infections and diseases.
Platelets Count
The CBC includes a platelet count. Some patients may need standalone platelet count blood work, which determines the number of platelets in the blood. The test helps diagnose blood clotting disorders, bone marrow disease, or other bleeding disorders.
Prothrombin Time Test and International Normalized Ratio (PT/INR)
The liver produces the protein prothrombin, which works as a clotting factor. The blood test measures the time it takes for a blood clot to form. A PT/INR test indicates whether the patient's blood clots normally. Often, patients receive a PT/INR to determine the efficacy of blood clotting medication.
